Home > About ASCI > Greetings

As the President of ASCI from 2023-2025, I welcome you all to ASCI.

ASCI was first started by a group of visionary cardiac imagers in Asia in 2006. Today we still uphold the mission to promote cardiac imaging in Asia Pacific region and to welcome colleagues from various backgrounds, including cardiologists, radiologists and technologists. We are also having close collaboration with various cardiac imaging societies around the globe including EACVI, ESCR, NASCI, SCCT and SCMR. A lot of great research in cardiac imaging are from our region and we have a large population base, ASCI is a great platform for the researchers to gather, exchange ideas and showcase their results. ASCI continues to invest in our younger generation, with ASCI Cube every year to help our up and coming colleagues to prepare their manuscripts for publication in an intense retreat setting. Many of them come up with fruitful results. We hold Joint Symposium with various regional cardiology/radiology societies on a regular basis. Regular online webinar ASCI LIVE are popular among our members for continuous education. With the great leadership of our Congress Presidents and dedication of local organizing committees, a total of 16 Annual Congresses were held since 2007. We can all witness the enthusiasm of the participants and the very high level of academic achievement. There are also subspecialty study groups working on pediatric cardiac imaging and CT myocardial perfusion. I encourage you all to join our activities either online or in person to share your knowledge, learn something new and make new friends.
